We’re looking for passionate and talented Chefs to join our five-star team and help create unforgettable dining experiences.

The Role

We have four luxury restaurants and a dedicated functions kitchen at Millbrook Resort, offering a diverse and dynamic culinary environment. The successful candidate will bring solid knife-handling skills, along with a positive attitude, strong commitment, and the ability to thrive under pressure as part of a supportive team. This role offers the opportunity to gain experience across a variety of outlets, including fast-paced breakfast service, Kobe — our Japanese cuisine restaurant, pastry, and Millhouse, where we showcase elegant, seasonal dishes. At Millhouse, we take pride in incorporating ingredients from our sustainable garden to create exceptional culinary experiences.

Success Profile

Minimum of one and a half years’ experience working in a comparable position desirable
Excellent communication, time management and organisational skills
Passion for service delivery and the hospitality industry
Strong commitment to teamwork, with a hands-on approach and can-do attitude
Competent and flexible to work in all kitchen departments including pastry/bakery
Ability to work on own initiative, as well as work as an effective team player
Willingness to undertake further training and learn new skills

Ability to work weekends and public holidays
Drivers Licence is preferable, owing to Arrowtown location and shift patterns – you must be able to make your own way to and from work

Location: Arrowtown, Queenstown.

Hours: Full time guaranteed 30/40 hours per week

Pay Banding: $26.50 - $28.50 gross per hour (depending on experience)
